Project Description
Cardiology
Our heart keeps us alive, and by the time we reach 65 years it will have clocked up around 2,500 million beats. This wear and tear, together with other external factors, can be detrimental. Cardiologists are the medical specialists who treat heart conditions from a non-surgical point of view. They are concerned with disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Tip: being overweight is a risk factor for heart disease. Maintaining a healthy body mass index (BMI) is vital.
The following are the diagnostic tests we carry out at the Centre:
- Electrocardiogram
- Colour Doppler Echocardiogram
- Dynamic ECG (Cardiac Holter Monitor) and blood pressure tests
- Ergometer (Cardiac Stress Test)
